Social Emotional & Academic Learning (SEAL)

About Us

The Centennial School District is bolstering its approach to staff and students’ social-emotional learning (SEL).

SEL refers to the skills we all develop throughout our lives to manage emotions, form healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Children, adolescents, and teens practice and develop these skills at home, in their communities, and in school and classroom settings.

In school, SEL also refers to the features of the educational setting, like how students learn, and the climate and culture.

Centennial added the "A" to SEL to create SEAL. This reflects our belief that social and emotional learning is an integral part of, and helps to advance academic learning.
